The width of the ring is the part of the ring that is seen from above, not the part that is seen from the side (thickness). Here are your options that are available (Starting from 1mm to 7mm respectively):
Some ring designs at Rockologist are only 1mm wide, there are also designs whose width is reduced or enlarged in certain parts. Filling and changing the width options will likely affect the proportions of the design.
So we highly recommend that you fill the width option with ‘use my reference’, or discuss this with our Customer Assistant further if you really want to change the ring width.
Method 1: Ring Inner Diameter & Ring Sample Method
This is our most favourite method; Ring Sample Rockologist. Among all measurement methods, we highly recommend this first method because of its high accuracy. If you already own a ring, you can measure its inner diameter too as substitute to our Ring Sample. See the image above for a guide to the correct ring diameter measurement: Make sure you precisely measure the inside of the ring diameter with the ruler in the middle and above the ring. You should also ensure that your ring is a perfect circle and has not changed shape. If you have time, you should just use our ringsample; it’s free after all. You can get your Ringsample Rockologist for free here.
Method 2: Circular Ruler Method
Inserting your finger into the circle mall ruler, there are several types of circle mall ruler sold in the market, see the picture below so you don’t make the wrong choice of the circle mall ruler used.
Method 3: Rockologist PDF Sizer Method
This method uses Rockologist PDF Sizer. You must be able to print the pdf to the proper scale to use this method. You will also need to provide scissors to be able to cut them and use them to measure your fingers. You can download the pdf here: PDF Sizer Rockologist.
